What Is Android?
Android is the name of the mobile operating system made
by the American Company name GOOGLE Inc. Now a days mostly mobile company using
this operating system. That is mostly used in touch screen mobiles. In android
different type of applications can be installed from google play store. Google
play store contains a thousand of apps for android according to the android
version. You can also play games on android operating system. It’s first
version was released in September 23,2008. It’s source code is written in C, C++
and Java. It is available in more than 60 languages. It is fast, simple and
efficient operating system for android phones. From It’s different apps peoples
can do their office works on mobile easily. Synchronization plays an important
role in android operating system. With synchronization people can save their
personal and important data. Now android has 1.4 billion daily active users
globally. With the passing of time, Android is upgrading day by day and making
a faster, more simple and more efficient. Different types of changes are done
by the developers of android. Android contains different types of features that
are given below:
Features:
Messaging:
Text messaging,
or texting, is the act of composing and sending brief, electronic messages
between two or more mobile phones, or fixed or portable devices over a phone
network. The term originally referred to messages sent using the Short
Message Service (SMS).
Web-Browsing:
Web-Browsing is the feature
of android. With Web-Browsing user can access to the internet and search
different types of queries/do their task on the internet.
Voiced
Based Features:
Google search through voice
has been available since initial release. Voice actions for calling, texting,
navigation, etc. are supported on Android 2.2 onwards. As of Android 4.1,
Google has expanded Voice Actions with ability to talk back and read answers
from Google's Knowledge Graph when queried with specific commands. The ability
to control hardware has not yet been implemented.
Multi
Touch:
The touch screen devices who
use android operating system have a features of multi-touch. Multi-touch means
touch screen from more than one fingers. Device who not use android operating
haven’t ability of multi-touches.
Multi-Tasking:
Multi-tasking is the great
feature of Android. User can do different types of task at one time. Many apps
run in background process.
Screen
Capture:
Android supports capturing
a screenshot by pressing the power and home-screen buttons at the
same time. Prior to Android 4.0, the only methods of capturing a screenshot
were through manufacturer and third-party customization (apps), or otherwise
by using a PC connection (DDMS developer's tool). These alternative methods are
still available with the latest Android.
Video
Calling:
Video Calling is also the
feature of the Android. Software use for video calling are: Skype, Hangout,
Tango and Viber. Mostly these software are using now a day.
Multi
Language Support:
Android Supports more than
60 languages. If android doesn’t contain language feature, then it will be
valuable for the user because mostly user understand the language that is
according to their region/country.
Accessibility:
Built-in text-to-speech is
provided by TalkBack for people with low or no vision. Enhancements
for people with hearing difficulties are available, as are other aids.
Wi-Fi/Edge/LTE:
This is the main feature of
android. Without it’s android is failure operating system in the world. These
features are mostly using daily.
Bluetooth:
Bluetooth is use to share
the files/apps from one device to another. This is also the best feature of
android. Mostly external devices (keyboard, joystick) use Bluetooth for
connecting.
Tethering:
Android
supports tethering, which allows a phone to be used as a
wireless/wired Wi-Fi hotspot. Before Android 2.2 this was supported by
third-party applications or manufacturer customizations.
Streaming
Media Support:
Android supports the live
streaming and videos on the internet. Adobe Flash Streaming (RTMP) and HTTP
Dynamic Streaming are supported by the Flash plugin.
Media
Support:
Android supports different
formats of video (MP4, 3GP, FLV, WebM, H.263, H.264) audio formats (AAC, MP3, AMR,
WAVE, FLAC, MP2) and image formats (JPG,JPEG, GIFF, PNG, BMP, WebP ).
External
Storage:
Android support external SD
card for more storage and keep it files save.

Hope, you read all the features of android. But features
are not everything. Android version also have an importance. New version
contains more features and speed from the last one. Mostly Bugs and Errors fix
in the new version that speed up the android. New Version is the according to
